dude, this is amazing.... looks like a nice looking bike....

those perm motors should be great with the sevcon controller..... Usually Perm matched their motors with a SigmaDrive from http://www.dmcde.de .... this could be great, especially since Sevcon just released a new drive....

240VDC input nominal (they'll configure for 80-300V inputs).... and 800A peak output, and almost 100kw in a small package.... can't wait to see someone use this. Wonder if it does field weakening.... could be a good match with Perm.

On sevcon's site they have some text next to a pic of the derbi saying...

"Again, a Sevcon Gen4 AC motor controller delivers top performance!"

Does that give any hints or support your guess as to what motor is in the bike?
