Title: Brammo Enertia won't decelerate!
Post by: zenkouki on May 07, 2017, 08:28:27 AM
I gotta 2009 Brammo Enertia. Going under 15mph everything is ok, but anything faster than 15mph the bike won't coast. throttle grip springs back just fine, but the bike stays at the same speed and even slowly accelerates.

kwh does not drop either.

no mods except rear led signal lights.

is it the throttle? the motor? the firmware?

HELP!

Not too many owners of Enertias on this forum so you should probably ask your question on the dedicated Brammo forum.  I think you will get a better response:  http://brammoforum.com/index.php (http://brammoforum.com/index.php)

Start with replacing the throttle assembly. There are several aftermarket throttles, I'm not sure about the details but at least this thread about an Enertia mentions the Magura throttle:

Not sure how helpful this might be, but what I heard back was:

It’s a simple problem but hard to fix without service techs and software.

Sounds like the motor isn’t aligned, which can cause the motor to accelerate like that (as the controller tries to slow it down, the currents it delivers is timed such that it produces drive torque rather than regen torque).  Have him go to a service place to get it realigned
.

That's all I got.
