You probably saw the news that Orange County Choppers built an electric chopper for Siemens Corp. Love ‘em or hate ‘em OCC is high visibility and should be good for the momentum of electric motorcycles.
Specs I have found so far:
100+ mph
60 mile range
5 hour recharge from 110
27 HP motor
I noticed in on video some DieHard branding on the batteries. Does Die Hard build anything other than Lead Acid batts?
Follow the Smart Chopper on it’s trips around the US on twitter…

Here is a list of news pieces in my delicious.com feed. I’ll be adding them as I see them…

What do you all think?

When I first laid eyes on the bike I thought, "what on earth was OCC thinking"? But if beauty is skin deep, then the Smart Chopper is one beautiful creation. The body is made out of recycled materials. Its engine creates no exhaust and it defiantly turns heads.

Thanks for the info Bill. I hope I do get to see it some time.

I bet the price will be pretty gut wrenching as well....
