Hello, does anybody know what type of plastic is used for the Zero painted plastics (2017).
I have a crack and want to repair it.
Thanks

I would assume its probably an ABS plastic like many other motorcycle. I havent found a stamp on the plastic like some manufacturers might do, but it has the feel of ABS.

Good luck with merely glueing the peices together with glue.
What I’ve used on my 03 BMW RT panels is a strip of thin gauge perforated steel sheet with a heavy build up of Goop adhesive on the back/unseen side.
Be sure to scratch up the panel so the glue has more surface area to hold onto.
The punched steel adds rigidity with plenty of nooks & crannies for the glue to hold onto.

Just curious, have you tried talking to the Zero folks first, to see what they have to say?

I used a simple heat gun, the kind that kids use for crafts etc. It is just melted plastic. Very simple.
I used the plastic glue stick on the inside of the plastic repair. It seems to hold so far. Total cost 10 cents.
Sanding and painting again is the hard part.
