Smart business move, I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I bet Tim Cook is about to fire everyone who works on iOS, too. Just think of how much money that would save!

What I would like to know is why did he get rid of the entire SuperCharger division?  Was it just to save money, did he have an axe to grind over some people in the division, or did it just feel good to screw over his employees and potentially the people that need to use the system in the future - like owners of Ford EVs? The guy is apparently really smart, but scary as a businessman and I sure wouldn't want to work for him.

But then I never understood from a financial point of view, why he bought Twitter and then pretty much destroyed it, so that it is now only worth a fraction of the price that he bought it for and only has a fraction of the former number of people using it. (Plus, calling it "X" makes it very awkward for anyone quoting a post from it.)

He is nuts.  Sorry Specter.  That's why I refuse to purchase anything he makes, and would never work in any of his ventures (unless my life depended on it :) ).

Are you using the Zero Next Gen app? The old Zero Motorcycles app cannot pull the firmware data from their servers. You need to use the Next Gen app.

I recently tried to check my firmware with the old app for my '18 FXS, and it was stuck spinning looking for firmware. Then I installed the new app and it worked. The sad part is my firmware version requires a dealer to install it.
No, but thanks, I didn't even know there was another version. I will soon download it and try again and see what happens.

I am using the old Zero app, too. My bike is running great and still charges to 100% and the app works fine for checking the health of the battery and for setting up the user performance system, so I don't think I will mess with anything.  When my 2014S failed to charge to 100% and kept getting worse as time wore on, the solution to the problem was to replace the OBC. After doing that, everything went back to normal.
Yeah, I know. But I can charge my bike without even using the OBC and have the same issue--unlike before.

I have not yet really looked into it much. But I thought I would start by making sure I had the latest updates, but then . . .

They wrote me back and said they have something with about the same measurements.  They'll invoice me (so not through the website) and I can buy it.  If I have any issues with the fitment, they'll take it back and give me a full refund.

I just submitted the measurements to Wind Rider for the SS9. Fingers crossed they have something for another bike that will fit it. I've seen that Goldwing riders are still waiting for them to make a seat cover that fits, so I'm not very hopeful that they'll make custom sizes specifically for Energicas any time soon.

Musk didn't earn his wealth, not even close, along with everyone else on Forbes billionaires list. He got lucky and took advantage of other people. He has vastly more money than any one person should ever have and there is absolutely no arguing against that and if he had any morals he would be doing a Bill Gates and donating the majority of it to charity. There is absolutely no justification for him reacting in any way for not getting the $55 billion, it literally does not matter to him at all except it would put him back in the number one spot as the richest person in the world.
