Regarding noisy chain:

Upwards from approx. 30 km/h the gear is the loudest part on my Ribelle. If you ask me, Energica put this spur-toothed gear on the bikes to expressly generate a sound, which I like very much (had a Zero SR/F before).

BTW, nice side effect: If you can hear the chain at 20 km/h it has to be replaced.

If memory serves me well, the SOH is checked by the bike. My dealer showed me a printout with data when I had my bike there for maintenance at 15000 and 30000 km.
I think the bike records each charging and calcuates.

Here in Germany a company is trying to establish themself as something like a certifying body for used EV batteries. It's name is Aviloo Battery Diagnostics. They measure the charge performance and deduct from that the SOH.

With this being said it looks like I am going to be tearing up toe draggers instead of knee draggers until I figure something out here.  Is this something that is replaceable on a boot, or do they make a boot where it is replaceable?  Tires are expensive enough I really don't want to go thru a few boots a season as well.

I guess for all Alpinestars boots are toe sliders available for replacement. I know for sure for SMX5 and SMX6 at least.
BTW Dainese have screw-ons, plastic and for some boots even metallic.

@Aaron, as you mentioned in an earlier post, you are not afraid of going around in wet conditions and you have to cope with dirty roads.
I totally agree with you that this is for sure a nasty combination shortening chain life significantly. It is only a matter of time until moisture creeps under the X-rings and corrupts the grease. Nanosized silica wears down the rings as well, so the process is self-accelerating.

A ticking chain is not dangerous in my view but going around with it for longer time wears down the sprockets. Re-using a chain I would not recommend. No lube job you can do on a chain can replace the old grease or remove the grit what crept underneath the seal rings.

In my view you have two options.
- Change the chain more often - but then you won't need 200 bucks top of the line stuff. Most chain manufacturers offer different qualities, so there's potential for saving some dollars.
- Install a permanent oiling device. The Scottoiler won't work bc it needs suction from the air intake of the ICE, so as far as I know you would need a Cobrra oiler.

Riveting a new chain is something I haven't done yet, I use an Enuma chain (Japanese manufacturer), they have a patented screw link. Installation was a breeze and it still looks good after approx. 7,000 km now.

Does anyone have the specs for the rear brake disc for a '22 Ribelle besides the diameter of 240 mm?

It should be an OEM Brembo disc, but in the Brembo catalogue I cannot find anything. Is there the possibility to order somewhere else bsides via my Energica dealer?

For most people motorbikes are something they own just for fun. As it appears to me, it is often the third or fourth motorised vehicle in a household and not doing more than 2000 km a year. It makes less fun if you look at the cost 

And the vast majority of people do NOT own a motorbike, so it is getting no attention in the mainstream media in the need to sell ads.

Some food for thought: In our modern times, motorbiking might appear as something archaic and the total opposite of plushy fully automated five-star safety airbagged car riding. Electric or not makes no difference.

Is this OnStar installed in every car? I thought this 'online service' is usually something you have to pay extra for. So, I never tick that option in the list 

Cas is right, that practice is not allowed in Europe (finally one thing they did right in Brussels).
I've read Italian insurance company Generali reduces your insurance premium if you agree to install a black box in your car and thus prove you are driving safe. I wonder if they would notice if I put that box in the Smart my mum while I burn rubber at the racetrack
