Title: Headlamp bulb seal (aka headlight dust cover)
Post by: BenderEmf on November 07, 2018, 10:56:16 PM
I just replaced the garbage LED headlight on my used '17 SR with a traditional incandescent bulb, and noticed that the assembly is missing its dust cover - I guess it's sitting in the previous owner's garage somewhere.

I don't know how important it is, but I'd like to have one. Does anyone know where I can find one?

I looked it up on af1racing and in their diagram, it's listed as part PA-338. When I search that part number... no results.

So I call my dealership, they tell me that the cover isn't sold individually, but I can buy the entire headlight assembly though for $150. No thanks.

Is this a generic part? Can I order something off ebay or amazon that is an identical fit? Any other ideas?

The same headlight was also used on early Yamaha MT-03's so you may be able to find one for those on a site like Ebay.
