I am not a "truck expert" by any means, but I believe that particular style of truck is meant for short haul city use and aerodynamics do not really factor in. I could be wrong.

This may have been mentioned before, when fully charged, regen is disabled until the battery is discharged enough to accept regen energy.

A reverse force on the chain has never been an issue with motorcycles. Regen can almost apply as much reverse force on a chain as downshifting does (on a petrol bike) and am I pretty sure nobody (well, very few) worries about and their chain life and downshifting. Engine and transmission wear are the greater concern there.

If you google abrp obd2, you should get some links to abrp's forum about obd2 integration. Sadly I am work right now and can't access abrp sites due to firewall restrictions. It seems like it might be possible though.

"At the Bike" is going to be your best option and really should be the only option to consider. Energicas have the ability to set a charge limit if you do not want it to go 100% for some reason and will still balance the cells properly at cut off point that you set.

My 2018 dual motor long range has 65k miles on her. Daily charge limit set to 80%. I have no idea how long I can actually go on a full charge. I have completed 8 trips going from Maryland to Florida and back. (my sister is wife of Florida man). What I do know is the cars range outlasts my bladder and finishes charging before I am ready to continue most times.

One of these days I'll make the trip on the Energica.

It's just over inflated BS from the media trying keep the oil companies in power a little longer. The ranges come from the EPA, not Tesla. It has been known for decades that the methods the EPA uses to determine mpg and range are nowhere close to what you get in the real world. Why is this news now? Because oil companies are paying people to make it news to try to slow down electric vehicle sales. Plain and simple.

Welp, Yall nailed the hit on the head. It was definitely the chain. Apparently it really needed a deep cleaning and was too tight. According to the chain guard instructions, it's supposed to have 1.25 inches of play, mine barely had half an inch.

After cleaning the chain, sprockets and lubricating, she is smooth as silk again.

The chain might still be on the tight side with just an inch of play.

I did perform a quick inspection of the chain and tension but not the guide/guard on the swingarm. Will perform a more thorough inspection this evening post results. Thanks for the replies!

So, 2022 SS9 with 3,742 miles on the odometer. Just recently I have started to hear and feel (through the foot pegs) a rattling grinding sensation when letting off the throttle. Very reminiscent of a Ducati with an open dry clutch but muted. While accelerating or just maintaining a speed, it's as smooth as can be. Since the bike shop is not open till Tuesday, yall have 2 days to guess what the problem is if there is or am I just being paranoid.

Personally, it just doesn't feel right anymore and is starting to freak me out.

I just road a non-stop 2.5 hours covering 125 miles on one charge with 20% battery remaining (all back roads averaging 45 mph). Not my longest day but definitely my longest stint on a single charge. Not something I want to repeat...I was very ready for a stop when I reached my destination.
