Please post if anyone gets a RedShift and FX for a back to back

(1/2) > >>

lolachampcar:
I love the looks of the RedShift but am concerned about the learning curve that all manufacturers go through.  The sane side of me says buy an FX while the boy in me craves the RedShift.  Would love to hear impressions of the two experienced on the same day.

lolachampcar:
I talked to them and they told me (1) they have shipped four or five of the off road bikes and (2) hope to ship the road legal version the first half of next year.

NEW2elec:
There is a third option now.  Get Harlan to build you a FXR like his Pike's Peak bike.
SR motor in a FX package because life is too short :)

This looks very interesting!

benswing:
So, last summer I had the chance to ride them within 2 or 3 days of each other.  I'm not a flat track racer, so I can't give as detailed an analysis as some others might.  I can tell you that they are both competitive with each other.  I recall the Alta feeling like it had better suspension, but the 2016 FX and Alta Redshift SM have a lot of similarities (as you would expect).

Here is my test ride video with the Alta:

And my ride on the FX starting at 4:15 of this video (I spent the first few minutes riding a One Wheel at Hollywood Electrics.  I talk about the comparison a bit in this video.
