Ok, so Zero made 50 of these last year. I am curious where these 50 ended up? I think (maybe wrong) that I might have the only one in Canada.

Tech Help / Won't Charge Past 91%

I have a 2014 DS with Power Tank that I purchased in May 2014. I live in southern Alberta where our riding season ends about early October. Iall was good when I stored the bike in my heated garage with the charger plugged in for the winter. When I took it out for the start of this season all seemed to be ok too except Forabout the last couple of weeks (approx 8 charge cycles) the batteries will not charge past 91%. Using the app it shows the batteriy capacity to be at 10.608kwh which is lower than the 14ish I remember when it charged to 100%. I also noticed the cell balance to be at about 45mv which is considerably higher than I have seen it before. Anyone seen this before or know if I have a battery issue? I have sent an email to Zero and talked to my dealer but neither has responded with any suggestions.

Who do you use when you have a service issue; Dealer or Zero directly?

I the reason I ask is I've noticed a number of posts indicating dealer challenges and just today I brought my DS back because the front fork seal is leaking. The mechanic told me he figured it would be warranty but one of the managers said that Zero will most likely not cover it because it is a dual sport and most people abuse them. I have a hard time believing that this comment came from Zero so I am going to just assume it is the one person at my dealer. If you have personal experience dealing with Zero directly, I would be curious on your thoughts. Would they not cover a fork seal after only 2600km? Oh and I have no where near abused this bike. I don't abuse any of my bikes!

My 2014 DS is the first belt drive bike I have owned. Is the best (maybe only) way to test belt tension to use the tension tester as indicated in the owners manual? Can you test the deflection of the belt similar to a chain on a chain drive bike?
The mechanic at my dealer just told me that these belt like to be tight. Problem is he didn't qualify how tight that is.

Anyone have another way to test this belt tension?

I have owned my 2014 Zero DS for a month now. I know there was something covering the hole to the lower righ of the instrument console but I lost it on the 2nd or 3rd ride. So what is this hole for?

General Discussion / Charging stops before 100%

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and just purchased a 2014 Zero Zf11.4 DS with the power tank option. I have noticed now about 4 or 5 times that when I am charging the bike, it just seems to stop before it gets to 100%. If I just unplug the turn the ignition on/off and plug it back in it starts to charge again. There has been two times now that the LCD flashes when it stops so I assume that that is some error, but have not been able to figure it out yet. Any ideas?

BTW, Is there anyone on this forum from Calgary, AB?
