Energica / Re: A&S Roseville, CA

Don, just have it delivered up and back.  You clearly have the money.

As an employee Morgan should know, how does the Energica-dealer setup work?  Does the dealer just give them floor space and get a cut of the sale price or do they pay a portion up front and own/finance the bikes?

Even if the bikes weren't selling they should have tried to keep them as a service center since they had to have had techs that knew the bikes.

Now might be a good time to point out I haven't seen a single 2024 listing for Energica or Zero on Cycle Trader and it's almost Summer.

You're on a soggy noodle only diet.

No sweet Canadian syrup for you.

The smaller off road bikes seem to have the most mojo right now.  Maybe two 80hp dirt bikes by years end.

Electric Cycle Rider's channel seem to keep up with the latest offerings.

Also, Fukuta Elec. & Mach. Co. Ltd has received the final tool designs to produce Damon’s patented high-speed electric motor-gearbox.

So Battery cells         Check
Battery case             Check
Motor and gearbox    Check

From your friends at Canadian Manufacturing comes more great news:

Buy Sell Trade / Re: ~ Secondary battery from 2016 SR ~ $1000
« on: March 10, 2024, 07:30:55 AM »
Alan I don't care if you think I'm a troll.  Everything I posted is true and just points out this isn't a plug and play option for someone.  They have to get the Power tank software to use a power tank thus they have to have a dealer.  The two Atlanta dealers for Zero dropped them so I'm not a "lucky dealer close person" any more.

If you don't think Li Ion cells degrade after 8 years then you need to do some research.

But bottom line for someone looking to buy this is the fact this guy would rather have an empty hole than this $3k range extending battery option that came with this bike.

Might be a reason why.  Caveat emptor.

A Zero has to have a dealer software update to work with a power tank. An old 16 PT likely won't play nice with a newer less degraded battery if it can be connected at all.  Anyone interested can check with their local dealer for advise.

I'd advise Alan to just keep it and actually put some miles on an eight year bike and get a back pack.

Remember boys and girls when Morgan can't face bad news he pretends to ignore it.

From your friends at Power Sports Business:

Batteries made in BC for motorcycles made in BC.  Hells yeah!

Thank all things great and small that the future of motorcycling will be Damon.

Well the article from Electrek says they have:

The company isn’t only sitting on a pile of patents, but also a stack of more than $70M in funding so far. Damon also touts over $85M in deposit-backed reservations, representing at least 3,400 pre-ordered motorcycles.

While all of Ideanomics is listed at $19.65M

Morgan tell us when someone buys Energica, or when the asking price is a couple hundred bucks I might pick it up for myself.

Because this offer from the Energica website seems kind of like a cash starved company.

"Buy any of our models (EGO+, EVA Ribelle, Eva Ribelle RS or EsseEsse9+) through January 31st, 2024. We’ll guarantee your trade-in value equal to 90% of the original purchase price to put against any new Energica motorcycle!

Sounds too good to be true?  Let us tell you more."

Of course you could just pick this one up with 1700 miles used for $18k.

https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2023-Energica-EVA+RIBELLE-5026712178

Makes you wonder what they would do with a fleet of 2 year old bikes that they paid (or credited you) 90% for.  Lose 7-8 grand on each one of them?  Who cares right.  Money means nothing in Italy.

But hey I'm sure they will still be in business to cover this great promise so get rid of that old SS9 and ride that 23 dream bike.

Energica / Re: Experia side stand not snappy

Could be a bent mounting bracket or pivot bolt.

Have someone hold it up and work it back and forth by hand to see if its smooth without the spring.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: 2020 SR/S Buying Considerations
« on: December 28, 2023, 10:58:21 AM »
You can get the VIN and call Zero HQ and they will tell you what warranty is left.  They are the only ones that matter and the dealer is trying to sell a bike.

That said I don't know how the 2020 bikes didn't get a full battery recall as they had the magic charging issue.  Thing is, the new battery will only have a six month warranty so keep that in mind too.

Energica / Re: Energica for Sale?
« on: November 30, 2023, 10:29:43 AM »
Thanks Apollo, I posted in the EV stock section that it was just a 25-1 reverse split. The little daily spike in the price at the end of the day is likely short covers.
Here is the joke clip I sent Steven when Ideanomics bought Energica.  If some of you didn't know Shane McMahon of the WWE is the CEO of Ideanomics.  This is the direction I predicted the company to go.

https://youtu.be/bWI2l4ZbdA4?t=32

Now IF Energica gets bought up by another company then of course they are ok because they have a new daddy with money to support their costly habits.
The problem is will there be anyone who wants them.

Socal its anybodies guess really.
Who wants them?
An Italian gas bike company to cover their electric butts so to speak?
Maybe Triumph since their attempt at electric sucked.

To me you have to bring the cost of making them way down or its just a hole to throw money in unless someone needs an EV division for regulations.

We'll see how it goes.

Your Honor I move that all defamatory statements made against "THE" Future of Motorcycling, Damon Motorcycles made by Morgan the undercover Energica agent be stricken from existence as they were all clearly made out of jealousy and fear of a clearly superior product even if it isn't for sale just yet.
