I got a new phone and lost this app.  I’m not able to find it on the IOS store.  Did they rename it?

The original version is no longer on the app store I believe. One alternative is BLE Terminal HM-10, however it only has ASCII and HEX options, not UTF-8 as is the format described by the current guide.

Does this app allow for the creation and storage of functions?

Yes in the terminal screen there are “button” options somewhat similar to what MV described in his write up. There seem to be only 5 options though, the other version (previous app that is no longer in the store) seemed to have many more stored functions.
