The US dealer in California told me that 6 Egos were sold in the USA in 2017. I just purchase the 7th Ego from that dealer and it should be delivered in the next week or less. I'm not worried about the company, because the parent company has been a supplier to Formula One for many years as well as to the aerospace and 3D printing industry. Maybe I'm biased as I've been an Alfa Romeo owner since 1973 (5 total) and still have the 1983 GTV6 I bought new showing 469k (s)miles on the clock. You can tell I'm totally crazy as I live about 2,000 miles from the dealer, but Energica has given me an exception on my warranty, regardless of who works on the Ego. If only they'd provide my mechanic with a service manual. In any case, I'm confident the dealer's service manager would guide my mechanic if need be. I expect to be commuting about 1,000 miles a month on the Ego (~56 miles round trip), except in December and January when temps will be below 20 degrees F in which case the bike will only have 80% of the power available.
