Buy Sell Trade / 2023 Zero DSR 14.4 Chattanooga, TN
« on: October 26, 2023, 04:21:25 AM »
For sale is my 2023 DSR 14.4, currently has 551 miles, may go up slightly, bought new at America's Motorsports in Nashville in April this year, insisted on a unit that had not had the warranty ticking, always garaged, never dropped, no issues, has not had 1st service, never in rain, only one light wash, no extras, just what the bike comes with new.  Oh, I have a Krikit belt tension guage, that's it.  Currently financed at my local credit union, can walk in and get title without issue.  Asking $11,500 obo, will add more photos tomorrow.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Incoming DSR
« on: April 23, 2023, 08:38:58 PM »
Long'ish time lurker, finally dipping my toe into the Zero water, picking up a 23' DSR 14.4 this Thursday.  It has taken a VERY long time to pull the trigger on one, biggest issue is dealer location, being in Southeast TN, my closest dealer is hours away.  I'm hoping I get a solid unit, I did check to see if the warranty is ticking and the dealer said "yes, it's a demo", I passed on that one but luckily they had a new unit that had not been warranty registered that I insisted on.  Wish me luck, we tend to only hear the bad, I hope to be one of the quiet ones and will try not to ask too many dumb questions :-\

Energica / EsseEsse9 RS at Team Powersports in Raleigh NC
« on: April 16, 2022, 08:26:37 PM »
I reached out to them a few days ago to see what sort of timeline I'd be looking at on the EsseEsse9, they called back and told me they had a pre titled 2022 RS version with 11 miles on it for just shy of $25k (no taxes, just the bike), I am not ready to buy at the moment and know these bikes are on a long waiting list so I just thought I'd share.  Oh, they said that it had not been warranty registered yet so that's good I guess.

Energica / Bike availability
« on: June 24, 2021, 09:38:16 PM »
I'm in southeast Tennessee and am trying to angle an Energica EsseEsse9 within the next month or so, hopefully less.  Anyone know what stock levels are like right now amidst this Covid mess?  I hesitate to start making calls until I'm absolutely ready.  Thanks in advance!

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / 2019 DS 14.4 questions
« on: April 08, 2020, 05:03:42 AM »
Hello all, been out of the game for a bit, actually, never owned a Zero but did have the Alta Redshift SM.  I've found a new leftover 19' DS 14.4 pretty close to where I live for $14,000 otd, pretty sure I could get it for less, I'm thinking $13.5k total price.  I've only ridden the FXS and DSR, both 2016 models.  I'm afraid coming off of the violent Alta and past experience with the FXS and DSR that the DS 14.4 will be a turd, excuse the expression.  What I'm looking for is zippy performance with decent range, I don't feel like a FX/S will give me the range I'm looking for (50-70 miles blended conservative'ish riding) so I'm leaning towards larger capacity bikes.  I'll be financing the bike so I'm wondering if I should spend the extra 3 grand and go with a new DSR?  Sorry for such a long post:(

Buy Sell Trade / Empulse TT for sale in Chatt TN
« on: February 23, 2020, 11:21:23 PM »
Have no affiliation with this dealer, maybe against the rules to post, just thought I'd share.  I have been to this dealer many times and they are nice and professional, never bought a bike from them though.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / 19' FX warranty/price question
« on: February 06, 2020, 01:27:40 AM »
Hello folks, been a while, I went the Alta route and am now revisiting Zero, I've found a leftover 2019 FX with 114 miles for $8,999 that is within a couple hours from my home, it is listed as a new bike and they are an authorized dealer, if I remember correctly, the warranty starts when the bike is ordered or possibly when received by the dealer, I cannot remember, I'm sure they'll tell me it starts when it's sold:/  Anyways, sorry if it's been covered 1,000 times, also wanted thoughts on the price, doesn't seem bad.

Buy Sell Trade / 2018 Alta Redshift SM, Southeast Tennessee
« on: June 13, 2018, 03:56:51 AM »
Back up for sale is my 2018 Alta Redshift SM, still showroom condition with only 775 miles, no issues whatsoever, bought new in Sept 2017, garaged and never in rain and never dropped or damaged, numerous gear reduction oil changes, otherwise the bike has not been tampered with.  I have not had the update done for faster 220v charging.  Pricing relatively firm at $9,500.

Trying to angle the new Alta EX dual sport and I can't realistically have both so up for sale is my 2018 Alta Redshift SM, bought new on Sept 9th and have clocked right at 500 miles on the bike without issue, awesome fun and powerful but the dual sport would suit my needs better.  Bike is showroom new, never in rain, never dropped or damaged in any way, pricing at **WITHDRAWN** no trades and no deliveries.  Located about 20 miles north of Chattanooga, TN.

Alta Motorcycles / Wheelies, ahhhh, those wonderful wheelies...
« on: November 12, 2017, 07:45:58 AM »
Sort of quiet around here so I just figured I'd enlighten y'all with some silly rhetoric.  I got the SM out today, that bike just makes me smile, and the wheelies, I love my wheelies, I'm looking forward to the optional rear hand brake coming, not bragging but I can ride a wheelie forever on a bicycle using the rear hand brake, I can only imagine when we get a rear brake on the handlebars on the Redshifts, it's just going to be silly fun.

Oh, what mode do you guys ride in?  I pretty much ride in 2 or 4, mode 3 to me just feels like more regen with no noticeable power increase, 4 can be a little harsh so smoother throttle action is good, now that I've gotten used to the bike, I usually ride in 4.

Alta Motorcycles / New Alta Redshift EX Dual Sport
« on: October 07, 2017, 05:36:07 AM »
Man, had I known, I would have waited for this, I was originally wanting a dual sport, I love my SM but this would be awesome, wonder what kind of trade in I could get on my Super Moto >:(  Offboard charger means much faster charge times, I understand why the SM has an onboard charger but you gotta be parked for up to 8 hours for a full charge, that is a long lunch break.

Alta Motorcycles / Silence is our friend!
« on: October 02, 2017, 09:16:40 PM »
Sold my 17' KTM Duke this weekend and went on a ride with the guy that bought it on my Alta SM, after a good ride, he turned left to go home, I turned right to head down the mtn we were on, well, I pin the throttle headed to a long sweeping corner and low and behold, a cop is sitting facing towards me on a gravel pull off, I never let off, then there was unfortunately a long straight after the sweeper, I kept looking back, he never pulled out, I don't think he even heard me, I don't even know if he saw me, maybe he didn't care, all I know is that he never pulled out for whatever reason.  I am confident that had I been on an ICE bike, he'd surely done something, if not, it would have been the first time one looked the other way...

Alta Motorcycles / Redshift SM Gearing
« on: September 29, 2017, 03:05:15 AM »
Okay, I'm new to electric bikes, but I have a question.  What affects does gearing have on the Redshift SM, I know on normal ICE bikes, lower gearing helps acceleration but hurts top speed, I'm considering trying a larger front or smaller rear sprocket to help on top speed or at least, higher cruising speeds, I can afford to lose a little bottom end power, does gearing changes affect electric bikes differently than ICE bikes?  I will say that the dealer where I got my SM said that he would gear the SM higher (for higher speeds, lower rpms) for longer range and less wear on the motor ultimately giving the bike more longevity, again, what he recommended, I am not questioning him but would like to hear your thoughts.

Alta Motorcycles / Purchased!! Alta Redshift SM!!
« on: September 04, 2017, 09:04:53 PM »
Just secured an Alta Redshift SM from KTM World in Georgia, units arriving late this week, I believe they're getting two, just secured one, for you folks in the southeast, I'd recommend Glenn at KTM World, this guy is very professional and I got a great price, couldn't be more excited.
