I'm surprised he's not here yet. Maybe someone should reach out and let him know this is where he can find lots of info about that drivetrain.

The "R" already indicates a fast version. F obviously stands for f***!

General Discussion / Re: Bultaco are here!

Can I ask the moderators if we can start a section for the Bultaco Brinco as they have started selling this year and have done over 1000 bikes now .

With all due respect, the Brinco is an electric bicycle and this forum is for electric motorcycles.

Nice, clean looking bike.

If you're going to use money from the sale for a newer bike, you might want to take a look at Zero's early adopter upgrade program. You might be able to get a lot more for your bike, if you buy a 2014. http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/promo/early-adopter-upgrade.pdf

They sold 15 bikes in 2014. I thought that it was 0.

Got the information from a local news web site.

Got a link?

The Project Livewire has finished touring the U.S. and Autoblog went for one last spin and considers what the future holds for an electric Harley.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: 2014 S 11.4 or 2015 S 9.4?
« on: December 06, 2014, 05:24:02 AM »
I would definitely take the 2015. It may be down on total battery capacity, but that also means it's lighter and should handle better. Put the new suspension and other improvements on top of that and it's really no contest. I wouldn't choose the 2014 unless there was enough difference to buy new suspension and tires. Even then...ABS!!!

From what I understand, the Zero frame isn't quite up to big air and other demands made of hardcore motocross bikes. Personally, it'd be perfect for the way I ride.

AutoblogGreen now has another post up with video of it in action and up-close photos. http://green.autoblog.com/2014/10/20/watch-alta-redshift-perform-on-the-track-pose-for-our-camera/

BRD has changed its name and has revealed the motocross and supermoto versions of its RedShift . Deliveries are said to begin in the 2nd quarter of 2015 in California before shipping to other parts of the country in Q3. They also recently scored $4.5 million in investment to help get this done.

General Discussion / 2014 Zero S + SR first drive on AutoblogGreen
« on: October 01, 2014, 05:18:55 AM »
AutoblogGreen has published a first drive of the 2014 Zero S and SR. This comes on the same day as the 2015 lineup is announced, but the findings could easily be the same on the 2015 since the emphasis is on the drivetrain and performance.

My Leaf has a 500V system (I have no idea how many cells or how they are connected).

Electricity is fascinating - wish I knew more about it.

Your Leaf more likely has a 364.8 volt system.

I would only get the 2014 if there was an exceptional price break. Say, $3,000 or more off. If dealers have any, they should be on sale, though. I got the following email from Zero a week ago or so.

 Greetings from Zero Motorcycles,

Ever wanted to get your hands on one of the company owned vehicles that we use for our factory demo events and testing by reporters? As the days get shorter and the weather cools off, we are seeking new homes for the motorcycles that have delivered the experience of instant torque and seamless acceleration to many delighted riders. So…if you’ve been wanting a Zero and waiting for the most attractive pricing, now’s the time.

The supply is limited. We expect these motorcycles to move quickly and wanted you to be among the first to know. Please contact a Zero Motorcycles dealer for pricing and availability. To find your nearest dealer, use our dealer locator or give us a call at (888) RUN-ZERO and we can help connect you.

Enjoy the ride,

Your friends at Zero
