Yep, they're on to a winner there. I expect sodium batteries will eventually come it at a tenth the price of lithium ones. But I especially like that they're way more robust.

It was only a matter time.  Sodium is the next step up the periodic table from lithium.  Next would be potassium.  Either way if they can make a battery that works better at colder temps and is not so expensive they'll be onto a major game changer.

This is the kind of stuff that I wish people would leave politics OUT of, because at the end of the day, this kind of stuff benefits the entire world, not just one cause or one class or one group over another.
