I'm sad to say I need to sell my baby. Its a 2014 Zero SR with Extended tank. Odometer is around 9800 miles. Other add-ons are end bar side mirrors, MRA touring shield and Bestem removable rear Case that fits Helmet and Jacket. The only thing I have had done on her was replace the rear wheel bearings. (noted on 2014 models and below to have bearing issues). It's been a perfect commute vehicle. It gets about 100 miles on a charge going 70 miles an hour. Much more on city and windy roads. Never dropped and still in perfect condition. NEW LOWER PRICE 8,500.00

I had no luck with my dealer. I took it to them twice. The first time they couldn't get it to make the sound so they told me to take a video which I did and then they said the would send the video to Zero and get back to me. That was about 3-4 months ago. It usually happens on hot summer days during or after a long ride. It hasn't made the clicking noise in a while and Im thinking its because its cooler weather or because I loosened the axle bolt about 1/4 turn

All,
Im getting a loud clicking noise from my rear axle area when I lean to the left. It does not happen on my commute to work in the morning cold air but when commuting home and its hot Outside like in the 90's it gets really bad after my 20 mile ride home. I have uploaded a video of the sound holding my cell phone pointing towrds the rear axle. I have taken it to my local Dealer (BMW motorcycle off of San Carlos St in San Jose, Ca) and they said they would send the Video to Zero but I havent heard anything back from them in the past few months. I was thinking it may be bad bearings but not sure. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the props. For me my commute is 20 miles each way almost all highway. I usually cruise in the commuter lane at about 72-80mph. With the original commuter shield I would get home with around 55miles left and with this new shield Im getting either the same or a little better. I've seen it around 56-60miles left. Although weather could be a factor since its getting a little warmer here in California. I have the 2014 SR with extra Tank

Had the original Zero windshield but it just was not blocking enough wind at highway speeds. It was always hitting my shoulders and middle of my helmet. This new MRA V-Flow VarioTouringScreen (style "VFVT") is perfect for me

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Zero 2014 SR Handlebar Risers
« on: September 29, 2015, 09:17:23 AM »
I'd like to sit a little more upright on my SR. Does anyone know exactly what size Risers to get? I'd like ones that raise the bars maybe and 1" OR 2". Maybe a direct website or specific ones?
Thanks
Ric

I just wanted to chime in on this subject. Be careful with any of the mounts that squeezes the phone in place like the RAM mount below. I lost my $500 Samsung Note 3 when I hit a large pot hole and the next thing I knew my bluetooth music stopped playing..... I looked down and my phone was gone. Lost to the highway and crushed by many other cars. I went back and never could find it with all the heavy traffic.

Type: 2014 Zero SR with Power Tank bought used 3800 miles on odometer from Dealer (It was a manufacturers Demo)
Riding Style: Use it for 40 mile round trip Commute to and from work 90% highway 10% city

I've only had it for a little over a month and already put on over 700 miles on it.
The only issue I've had so far was the overheating light coming on after a 20 mile ride home in 90 degree heat after accelerating from a light pretty hard. The light started blinking but the bike performed normal. About 5-10 seconds after letting off the throttle the light went off.

Loving the bike so far

I purchased these from Amazon that said they fit 7/8 bars ($17). They did not fit. The inside diameter of the SR handle bars are only about 14mm so the bolt and the plastic shim did not fit inside. I just purchased some bar end internal adapters ($30). Waiting for them to come in to try them on....

My windshield is the stock one ordered from Zero. I agree it does look nice. Most Universal screens attach to the bars but this one uses 2 of the 4 allen bolts used to hold the handle bar in place.
