2014 Zero SR Range Data and Analysis
« on: July 19, 2015, 01:12:09 AM »

OK data hounds, here is a treasure trove of information!  All the photos of my odometer for my 2015 ElMoto road trip using a 2014 Zero SR with a windscreen, 2 Elcon 2.5kW chargers and a Givi top case with 30 lbs of gear and me (I weigh 165lbs).

Here is the dropbox folder with all 160 photos in it.

If someone wants to create a Google Sheet and start putting numbers into it, feel free.

For some of the data you will need to infer the departure time.  Apparently I forgot to take a photo every single time I started a leg of the journey.

Also, whenever a photo shows 87% or 91% charge, it is actually 100% charged.  I don't know why it showed different readings, but those two numbers consistently became 100% as soon as I unplugged the vehicle (maybe has something to do with the power tank).  All other numbers should be considered accurate.

Have fun!

It might not be the power tank, as my 2013 did that 87% trick on my Wales run, usually jumping up to the 97% mark on startup. I suspect it might be the Zero SOC calculation getting it wrong with the additional power from the Elcon.
