Hey, hypothetically, would the 550A controller and IPM motor from a 2016 FXS go straight into my 2014 DS? That would pretty much make it a DSR..
Anyone tried this ? Wonder what wouldn't be a straight swap

The controller should bolt right in but will need different programming. The motor will need some special mounting because the FX/FXS motor isn't as wide as the DS/DSR/S/SR. Also, the FXS motor is only 34kW but the 550A controller should be able to put out about 50kW. The SR/DSR have 52kW motors.
So it won't be plug and play and you won't have DSR performance....in fact the FX/FXS motor (34kW) has less power than the stock DS motor (45kW for 2017....40kW for 2013-16).
