sweet. too bad that no insurers in Ontario will write an insurance policy on this bike (or at least this is what I'm finding out). I sure hope no-one buys one at a Costco here and discovers afterwards they can't get insurance...

Blake, did you check with Primmum/Meloche-Monnex/TD Insurance ? They've previously insured 2010 Zero's, and provided a quote for the 2012 XU.
FWIW they also have a history of insuring DIY electric conversions, provided the unit has been inspected by a conversion company i.e. http://www.revconsultants.com/ (http://www.revconsultants.com/)
