Hi Victor,

you range figure sounds realistic. I get about the same at 100+ KP/h in flat northern Germany.
Regarding Zeros quality: My first two batteries had issues that manifested within 3k km and 500 km respectively. The third battery has been completely free of any issues for two years now.

I ordered OEM parts online at Koup's Cycle Shop in Pennsylvania (worldwide shipping). Process was quick and easy.

Af1 racing has a parts catalogue online, at least the used to.
Technically, any decent bike shop can do a bearing check / repair, however I don't know if and how that might affect your bike's warranty.

If steps 1-8 are out of personal skillset:
I. Transport bike to dealer / shop
II. Have bike checked and repaired
III. Fork over cash and pick up bike
IV. See step 9 of previous post

1. Release torque on axle nut
2. Remove wheel an related components
3. Check swing arm, bearings and other components for damage / warping
4. Check if swing arm is still straight and true
5. Source replacement for damaged components
6. Replace damaged components
7. Reassemble and torque to specifications
8. After reassembly, check rear wheel for smooth and straight rotation
9. Celebrate achievement with drink / food of choice

Check out the unofficial Zero manual: BMS Reset Procedure.
The procedure is explained in detail.

Thanks Don, I'll try something like your solution.

Ok, problem is McGyverd away: After removing one of the two screws in the Anderson receptible on the bike, I can rotate the socket far enough to get the Anderson Plug in, so I am not sitting beside the charging station like a starving man besides a can without opener, however, there must be a more decent solution to the problem.
Any ideas around?

Hey everybody, I recently attached the OEM to my SR (S/DS platform) and the left side bracket which attaches to the passenger footpeg now blocks the Anderson Plug. Is there a trick to making it fit?
Thanks for your input.

I had the same issue and suspected a faulty charger. It turned out to be a huge cell imbalance. Once the first cells in the battery pack reach max voltage, charging is stopped and the BMS starts burning off charge with little resistors in the pack. Once the highest voltage cells are discharged to some degree, charging then is re-started in an attempt to balance out the voltage.

Thanks Chrissa and mdjak1,

I never noticed that part of the unofficial manual
I'll get the stick and touch it up. Any red will look better than white primer on plastic with grime.

Hey everybody, unfortunately I dropped my bike today ,(no crash, just a fall over).
Bike took no real damage since it was on grass and I managed to lay her down quite gently, however the front mud hard hit a rock and now has some scratches.
Does anybody know the color code for the red zero uses?
Am I right assuming it is RAL 3042?

Thanks
Kappi

Anyone want to buy a used FXE with about 500 miles?

Give your dealer a chance to fix it.

Does the contactor click open when you key the bike off (after successful handle-starting it)?
