Yes good news!  Since the last 4 times you posted over the last 2 years saying you were going to buy a new 2014 Zero there has been a $1350 price drop across all the models last year, an extra $1000 drop on the entry level 2016 Zero S and DS, and on top of that there is also a 10% federal tax credit putting the 2016 9.8 kWh Zero S at $9895!!!

When the snow thaws in Connecticut, check out the dealer in Enfield and get one!  After 2 years of thinking about it, its about time! lol

Yep ... I ordered my S on April 1st.  My dealer called me up the day later and said ... "btw ... "  So the extra $1k was a nice surprise.  Still see no mention of it online anywhere.

I see they have extended this to SR/DSR...  See the main banner on the site.  I am so glad I purchased in Mid-March...

Just received a promo email about this. They're marketing the $1000 / $650 discount as Free "Fuel" for Life.

Good timing for it too! I hope...
Anyone wanna buy my 2014 Corvette that I have to sell? :)

This should make the base Zero S 9.8 $8995.50 after federal rebate. I wonder if NY state will give me anything back in their newly announced electric vehicle rebate?

Here in Maryland this sale makes a 2016 SR $11,770 after both tax credits (though I won't see that $3225 back until next year). That's a serious amount less than the SR was when it came out just a couple years ago. It's still a lot of cash, but that is within the realm of many, many other motorcycles. The time might just be right for me (finally)!

I just talked to the dealer who wasn't sure about the details of the offer but his understanding is that it is not a factory rebate that could be applied to the purchase price. The deal is for a $1,000 gift card to come later.

Oh, well if that's the case then at least I can say I'm riding my $12,770 Zero SR for free for 75k miles.  :D  (Of course, that IS how they're advertising it).

Yeah, that doesn't say whether it's a rebate or a gift card or what. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Good! This additional $1K might just be enough to nudge me to get a Zero this year. With MD state incentives, the price becomes very appealing (although still pretty high). Maybe enough to get a 9.8KW S or DS this year (although what I really *want* is the SR/DSR, it's just too darn expensive, considering that I do not *need* a bike)... I am very unlikely to exceed 75mph for any length of time, so even an S with the old motor should hopefully not overheat for me in the DC area. While the 60 miles of highway range for the 9.8 is not much, 80 for the 13.8 version is not that much more range for a lot more $$$...

What did you guys pay in terms of dealer fees, delivery fees, etc. mark-ups not included in the MSRP? I know what the taxes, title, and registration costs would be, but curious about the other "fees" that I understand dealers charge. Thanks!

Wow you dudes in the US get all the breaks!  You all pay considerable less than in Canada so wtf is the hold up?

It doesn't say this is only for U.S. sales, just says based on average cost of electricity in the U.S.  Did I miss something?

Unfortunately the NY state $2,000 refund bill starts out stating the vehicle must have 4 wheels. But only requires 55 mph and 4 kWh.

Visa gift card... as in you can spend it anywhere that accepts Visa? Any restrictions on that? If it can act as a card you can use pretty much anywhere, I'd esentially get the $1000 savings within a month of receiving it just by buying things we regularly need from month to month with the card (groceries and the like, for example).
Am I understanding correctly how it works?

A visa gift card can be used anywhere visa is accepted.  Visa gives you a web link so you can keep track of the balance.

It is a bit annoying how all the discounts are delayed.  A month or so for the gift card.  Several months waiting for CA to send a check.  And only when tax time comes around next year do you get the federal rebate.

Apparently this incentive is quite popular.
Seven to ten days now seems to be  3 weeks to a month.
They have plenty of 13's. but no 9's
Bummer
