Good! This additional $1K might just be enough to nudge me to get a Zero this year. With MD state incentives, the price becomes very appealing (although still pretty high). Maybe enough to get a 9.8KW S or DS this year (although what I really *want* is the SR/DSR, it's just too darn expensive, considering that I do not *need* a bike)... I am very unlikely to exceed 75mph for any length of time, so even an S with the old motor should hopefully not overheat for me in the DC area. While the 60 miles of highway range for the 9.8 is not much, 80 for the 13.8 version is not that much more range for a lot more $$$...

What did you guys pay in terms of dealer fees, delivery fees, etc. mark-ups not included in the MSRP? I know what the taxes, title, and registration costs would be, but curious about the other "fees" that I understand dealers charge. Thanks!

It doesn't say this is only for U.S. sales, just says based on average cost of electricity in the U.S.  Did I miss something?

This should make the base Zero S 9.8 $8995.50 after federal rebate. I wonder if NY state will give me anything back in their newly announced electric vehicle rebate?
Unfortunately the NY state $2,000 refund bill starts out stating the vehicle must have 4 wheels. But only requires 55 mph and 4 kWh.

Because as we all know, the most effective way to get around is with an extra 3000 lbs....  :o

Visa gift card... as in you can spend it anywhere that accepts Visa? Any restrictions on that? If it can act as a card you can use pretty much anywhere, I'd esentially get the $1000 savings within a month of receiving it just by buying things we regularly need from month to month with the card (groceries and the like, for example).
Am I understanding correctly how it works?

A visa gift card can be used anywhere visa is accepted.  Visa gives you a web link so you can keep track of the balance.

It is a bit annoying how all the discounts are delayed.  A month or so for the gift card.  Several months waiting for CA to send a check.  And only when tax time comes around next year do you get the federal rebate.

Apparently this incentive is quite popular.
Seven to ten days now seems to be  3 weeks to a month.
They have plenty of 13's. but no 9's
Bummer

It still applies if you custom order in April doesn't it?
