Yes South of Toulouse

The FX is much more street worthy and the ktm more dirt, but this you probably figured out by your self.

The drag race is wheel on wheel until 60and then the  fx flies avay

Best regards

Hi,

The FX does wheel much easier.   The torque curve on the SR  has been smoothed.

A short video we shot with my son and his freeride

A Toulouse, mon concessionnaire *2roues vertes* c'est spécialisé en 2 roue électriques.  Donc beaucoup de vélo aussi. Et ça a l'air de marcher.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / 2018 FX overheating?
« on: March 19, 2018, 02:21:50 PM »
Hi I recently switched my 2015 FX to a brand new 2018 FX and it is even overheating more than before.

Full throttle for about 2 miles / 3km and I get at 140°C and power reduction.

I thought the new IPN motors are heating less?

Ok agreed there is also more power

Marcel

Likely culprits are drops in temperature, or changes in riding habits.

My bike heard you, during today's ride the usage dropped to levels I'm used to. Seriously, it's probably the weather. People don't think "cold" when they think "Israel" but we have our share of cold weeks now and then and the last couple of days were warmer, immediately impacting the efficiency. Thanks!
Might also be longer inactivity before that shorter range.

I recovered my fx after 3 weeks vacation (connected to the plug)  and first ride after was so short I didn't make it to my work at 30km!

Humm,  may be you are right.   When I tried the chain kit on the FX that had a shorter gearing the FX was always wheeling

The FX is really wheeling by itself, the SR not at all although it would have enough torque to do so.  I rode both and difference to me, is the delay or ramp applied by the controller to apply full torque to prevent the SR wheeling. So I am afraid that it also a controller setting in the FXS...

Hi.

Go for the FX.  Put on sale my ktm duke 690 one week after getting my FX although I intended to keep it for the range.   But riding it felt too prehistoric.
After 1 year I have 6000km on my FX and still love it.
Nevertheless was thinking some range wouldn't hurt and I went for a ducati hypermotard 939 trial.   Nope,  no fun with it,  will have to wait a few years for the range...

FXS won't wheelie.....really tired of hearing that BS.

Ok  but he seems to pull quite a lot on the handlebar.   Don't need that on my FX.
Will have to go and try one at the dealer...

Agreed that it is easy to overheat the FX off road also.

But what about the wheelie part, does the IPM motor imply no more wheelies???

Yes the FX lifts anywhere from 10 to 80kmh and you have to be careful not to flip over.

But I manage now to control its tendency to flip over and I can do a single  10 to 100km/h wheelie accélération.

To much of a chicken to stabilize yet...

That's disappointing about the new FXS.   Because of the new motor or software limited?

Parts, Mods And Hacks / Re: Improvement possible for 2017 ZERO

Hi

I'd like to have
- fast charge
- wheelie setting in app for SR (torque is enough,  just need to come faster)
- 2x wider belt,  current is way to weak

The FXS doesn't wheelie?   The FX does it quite good 😀

General Discussion / Re: Future Zero rider in Paris, France

Salut Corentin

I had a duke 690 prior to my Zero FX,  and initially thought keeping both.  After one week the duke was on sale.

Take the R,  you never have enough of this addictive electric torque.

Concerning the range,  think it is half of what is announced as riding full torque is so much fun,  you'll never cruise
