Title: SR rear wheel installation: where does this spacer go?
Post by: gyrocyclist on March 18, 2018, 03:40:01 AM
2016 SR: the last time I took the rear wheel off I paid attention. This time I didn't, assumed I'd remember everything. Well, I didn't. I'd be much obliged if someone could tell me where this spacer (attached photo) goes. I'm not sure if its on the left or right side. I know, moving from centerline to the outside, the ABS sensor is first, and the caliper is 2nd. (Shadow, I've seen your video, but it didn't contain enough detail to help me).

I've meant to make a clearer video of this however until there is a better video, you may want to look up the af1racing exploded-diagram.

Left side.

I went out and looked at mine. Spacer on left, ABS sensor acts as spacer on right. I also looked at my parts fiche to confirm.   :)

thanks, all; got the wheel back on. Found an exploded diagram here: http://www.af1racing.com/store/ProdImages/st3/16sr.pdf
that clearly shows the spacer on the left side. I will say, getting the ABS sensor and caliber  back on was a bit tricky.

There's a re-install procedure on the unofficial manual which could use photos when someone has the right lighting. My garage is too dark for well-lit photos in this area.
