MX motors , Perm and Mars
« on: June 17, 2022, 10:12:49 PM »

I understand that the extreme MX version of the bike had the Perm motor, however after finding the specs of the motors I’m confused that the Perm was considered more powerful.

Here the Perm 132

Has a 48v rating of 4.75kw

But the Mars and I assume was the 0708

Has a 48v rating of 6060W

Not pun intended but what am I missing here?

The Perm has more torque at 20Nm but is only spinning at 2300rpm, the Mars has 18Nm but spins at 3700rpm giving it more power. The Perm is also only drawing 110A versus 148A from the Mars, however the Perm appears to be able to draw 200A for 10 minutes for 38Nm which would nearly double the power output.
