kingcharles,

Thanks, hadn't thought of that. It's a potential solution.

I think what I need to know is how Zero is shipping its batteries to Europe. mikeisted (above) may have an answer to that question soon, or I can try talking with Zero's support people.

mikeisted - to avoid a thread hijack, see this post - http://electricmotorcycleforum.com/boards/index.php?topic=3504.0

Brief version, short in the DC-DC converter flattened the battery.

Picked up your thread and read it through.  Painful reading   :-( . I really identify with that, and can only (selfishly) hope mine doesn't become so problematic.

Good luck with the motor.

I enquired how long a new battery would take to fix and was told there was a two week lead-time, then two weeks shipping.  So that's not by air (obviously).

Not sure that helps much, I'm afraid.

You may ship Battery operated motorcycles by Air but it's little bit costly. We are the Zero dealers in Kuwait and We have shipped many to here via Air. DHL offers this service and so does other companies. Hope this answers your question.

Thanks, great to hear from people who have personal experience with doing this.
