Zero SR/F replacement mirrors?
« on: February 23, 2020, 05:10:35 PM »

Has anybody replaced the stock mirrors on the SR/F with something a bit slimmer?
Ie. I go through a lot of London traffic everyday and I want my bar ends to be the widest part of the bike and no mirrors protruding too far.
I did try some cheap ones on eBay but it seems the thread is not a standard 8mm one and I couldn't get them on.
I don't want bar end ones either.
Would appreciate any help, thanks

https://motogadget.com/shop/en/spiegel.html

I have the mo.view Club XL mirrors (not bar end but on the normal mounting position). They come with the correct screws for the handlebar mounts (left hand mirror has left hand thread)

They are quite expensive but the glassless design looks absolutely futuristic

"glassless design" - wow, that is a smooth aluminum surface, then. Can you share some photos? The illustrations all seem to be CGI on that site.

Here some photos

The width of the handlebars is 78 cm and the width on the mirrors is now 86 cm
You can also pivot the arm of the mirror more upright to reduce the width.

The brake lever sticks out about 4 cm beyond the handlebar and the mirror is now exactly as wide as the brake lever

The view in the glasses mirror is exactly what you expect but without the thick border of plastic around it. Also they are nice and thin looking from the side
