A Friend of mine increased the regen of my 2016 Zero SR a little and saved that setting on the "Sport" profile. So i can still programm the custom-mode.
He did this with the original Sevcon-software for that controller.

My Question: Does this get reset when i do a Firmwareupdate at the dealer? I would not want that... the standard-regen is just too weak

Has anyone experieces with that toppic? thanks!

When you install the Charge Tank you lose the storage in the tank region. I knew that, and it's nice to have the charge tank with you all the time. But i forgot to think about the cable.. It's pretty big and i have to take the GIVI-box or a Backpack with me when i consider to charge "fast", what irrelevates the point of having the chargetank always installed to charge spontaneously.
For little things I installed two 0.8l bags on the sides (on the battery, between fairing and frame. I will upload an photo some time). But what i really would love, is a good way to always have the (for europe) Typ2 Mennekes Cable with me.

has anyone figured out a good Solution?

Pics and Vids / New paintjob - Zero SR 16
« on: April 05, 2017, 11:15:13 AM »
Hey there

Because some of you were curious, here some more pics of my painted SR. I have her back 2 days ago and didn't find direct sunlight yesterday while making some pictures. So i'll post some more..

I dont have the color code, all i can say is that it's a 3-layer paintjob. Its near the candy ime green that kawasaki offers (watch out, they have a lot of diffrent ones that have the same name)

Hi there

First: im Swiss, so in the middle of Europe, but not in the EU.
Last October the BMS broke of my SR2016. My dealer got the bike und hooked up with Zero. They ordered the new part, what as they said was not stock in europe. So they had to deliver it from the USA. That took about 5 weeks.

Over winter i ordered a charge-tank, which was installted by my dealer in mid february, right before the good weather startet to pull up. Then, after that, while hooking the bike up with zero, they again gave out a service-bulletin. The battery management had to be replaced. I dont know if this is the same part as last year, all i know is, that the bike was not driven after the replacement. If this is because the chargetank was installed (new BMS?) they should send it together with the charge tank, not when its alredy installed. So i think it's something different..

This things can happen, no problem. The bad part is though, that i'm again waiting 4 weeks now for this part, and i'm getting angry. I alredy wrote zero a mail with this feedback, heard nothing back.

The 12V-Accessory Socket took about 2 Months too, lucky i did not need this to drive arround..

Maybe its because i'm in europe, and they dont have all the pars stock here (what's a bad idea if you ask me). And maybe its even because i'm in Switzerland, what may be even worse for the shipping times.
So im interested what your experiences are.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / high beam switch improvement/mod
« on: October 03, 2016, 12:02:26 PM »
I am driving motorcycles for 10years now, and since august i drive with the zero sr and am very happy. Though the first thing i mentioned while driving in the dark was the stupid way to build the high beam switch. Every bike i drove before had an "normal" switch like the kill switch for example. Zero did this slider that, after turning on the high beam, puts the knub in a position that is not meant to reach with the thumb while holding normally to the handlebar.
I may over time would have got used to it, but it ennoyed me too much ;D

Long story short; i grabbed Sugru and formed a knub on the lower side uf the Slide/Switch. This lets me switch high beam on/off easily.
Here i quick "demo" (when dropbox asks, you do not have to register or login): https://www.dropbox.com/s/yjvbbale002nyeg/20161002_180616.mp4?dl=0

General Discussion / wh/mi / wh/km range calculation way off?
« on: August 26, 2016, 12:08:39 PM »
Hey there
I wanted to calculate the expectet range of my bike on my way to work (a lot of city and some 80km/h pieces).

I startet with 100%, drove 36km to work and have 85% battery left, 38wh/km on this trip.
So the easy math to get the approximate range of (36km*100)/15 = ~240km

when i do this math with the 38wh/km i get a way higher numer: 38wh/km * 36km = 1368Wh right? When i calculate for the full 13khw of the battery i would get (36km*13000Wh)/1368Wh = 342km

Is the showed Wh/km not what i mean it is, or do i may not have the full 13kwh of the battery to use? Thanks für your advice :)
