Title: Full FXS Tail shortening
Post by: efenili on April 02, 2019, 01:17:57 PM
Hey All,

I just ordered a new FXS and while I think the bike already looks pretty good, I come from a background of always modifying my bikes and the first things to go are usually ugly fenders.

The FXS has some ugly fenders for anyone not taking it off-road.  I already plan on replacing the front fender with one lower down on the wheel but I wanted to see if anyone has fabricated a much shorter tail...maybe one just behind the seat?  I have seen a few fender eliminator kits but that isn't enough for me, I would want to take almost a foot off the length.

Would be great to see anyone who has tried =)  I'll definitely be doing something when she arrives.

Cheers

For the front fender you can order a 2015 or later Zero S front fender. Fits perfectly, stops the annoying mud projecyions.

Thanks for the tip.  I found a couple of other suggestions as well for not too much.

I would be interested in what you came up with too.  The front fender is high on the FX, and ridiculous on the FXS.
