Sold on advrider to a guy who doesn't even ride a Zero. Surprised nobody who actually does ride one didn't nab this.

Picked this up 2nd-hand off advrider recently and will list it there soon but since it has a Zero Motorcycles logo on it I thought I'd offer it here first. $120 shipped in the CONUS.

Overall excellent shape. No issues at all. Best pack for riding on the market, IMHO. Photos are too large to upload, happy to send via email.

Sold my DSR and never got around to mounting this rack. It's brand new in box, never even opened. I paid $298.73 to have it shipped to my door. I'll ship it to yours anywhere in the CONUS for $250.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Dropped Bikes

Just once so far in 12 months of ownership...I put the (too short) side-stand down on what I perceived to be a flat driveway but it actually had a slight downslope so the bike rolled forward and fell over. That side-stand is really about the worst designed thing I have ever seen...so now if I ever have to park on any kind of downslope, out comes the brake lever lock.

My DSR needs a near rear tire any day now so I was going to have my dealer update the firmware while it was with them but under the pretense of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I may skip the update since I have had a literally trouble-free 12 months and 5,300 miles since I bought this thing and would prefer to keep it that way.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Suggestions for '16 DSR Tires?
« on: July 19, 2017, 06:16:33 AM »
When it comes time to replace my stock tires I have my eye on the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II or Michelin Anakee 3 in a 110/80 front and 150/70 rear (vs 100/90 and 130/80 stock) to get a slightly wider contact patch. I was unsure if the wider rear would mount too close to the belt but there is a guy on the FB group who's done it and confirms it fits with no issues.

Does anyone in the US who has ordered these have any import duty experiences to share?

I ordered a single charger. Arrived within 6 days of order (Colorado Western Slope). My first use, combined with the onboard, was delivering between 5000 and 5500W. From 50% to full was 45 minutes. AWESOME. Expectations exceeded.

2016 SR with 13.0 pack using a juicebox 40A charger.
Did you have to pay any import duties ordering this into the US?

Personally I am most intrigued by the front fender mod...so you ended up modifying a BMW GS fender?

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / PG&E Clean Fuel Rebate program
« on: June 21, 2017, 02:12:34 AM »
Today I learned about a new (I think) $500 rebate program that PG&E has launched for its customers who own an electric vehicle and charge at home.

https://energyinsight.secure.force.com/cleanfuelrebateapplication/

Of course Zero is not on the list of eligible vehicles so I'll be calling the CARB to try to find out why not, since the very nice woman whom I spoke to at PG&E said they came up with the list.

3400 miles and 9 months of ownership (I know, I need to ride it more) and mine has never let me down. I can occasionally cause a "no start" (the little green arrow doesn't stop flashing) if I don't "start" it in the right order which for me is key on, kickstand all the way up, and then finally ignition switch on. I don't get a "contact error" message though.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Front brake lever
« on: June 20, 2017, 09:01:31 PM »
Hollywood Electrics posted some pics on their Instagram recently of their racers riding on the track and if you look closely you can clearly see that they are running a non-stock front brake lever...would love to know who makes them.

You should ask your dealer to check Zero's "COV" list (Company Owned Vehicles). I learned about this list when shopping for my DSR...at the time it was full of bikes that were used by the press, etc. Bikes on this list have not been registered so are eligible for all of the rebates, but do have less time left on the warranty because they are often at least one MY old. Could be a way for you to save a few bucks as well as get you one without needing to order.

But be careful on the test ride...all it took for me to decide to ditch my Triumph Tiger was one 20 minute ride on the DSR I ended up purchasing. It was that nice.
