Haven't been here for years (just checked my icon...)
Dealer confirmed bug in latest firmware for SR-F/S (firmware with preparation for Cypher store)

If you connect the app it will downtune your bike to the 2022SR specs.
So less power/torque/topspeed.
Most already noticed it by seeing the 108mph cap instead of 127mph, or just noticing the overall performance loss.
There should be a fix (for the app?!) coming soon.
Any1 else more informed about this?

For me, I respect the torque it has like I did riding the Honda Magna.
It can be a problem if you don't adjust your driving style.
So traction control is not needed but very helpfull to have it on an EV.
Personaly I hate ABS, TC and all other.
But that's just me.
I still buy the EV with those.

Good points GaryArt1.
There is also a which comes first the chicken or the egg issue with the maintenance side.  Will they start teaching electric repair to new guys or will they wait till there is a few hundred thousand on the road before hand.  Of course more people would buy them more if they could get them fixed close by.
This is really a big issue in the second hand market for now I think people are worried a used bike can't get worked on if they're not near a dealer.

I think multibrand dealers are the answer.
In the Netherlands Motoport is big and they have learned their maintenance crew to work on Zero's.

Just type 'zero fx off road' and some vids appear  ;D

But....you can get the batteries out on a FX right?
Just move them inside the house.

Looks a bit weird having HE fairing, an extra shield on top of it and disc wheels and..... 2 large blocks superchargers on both sides wasting the gain gained...
Are you going to adapt this charging solution?
Maybe behind the legs using footpeg holes for mounting?

Sounds logic.
They programmed them differently.
The FX(S) is the more play/hooligan bike.
The DS(R) is his bigger brother who was 1 time like him.

And yes, the DS(R) and S(R) are programmed to not give you all at lower speeds for safety.
Maybe ask Brandon from Diginow for more details.
He can 'tune' them I believe.

What does your bluetooth app display when it is connected and 'charging'?
Maybe just wrong parameters in the Diginow?

Incidentally, in his testing, I believe ElectricTerry reported at 15% or BETTER improvement in range using the HE fairing...  That's almost the same as adding the power tank for half the price.

There is a difference, power tank will increase your range at any speed.
The 15-20% increased range from the fairing will only be above a x-speed.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the fairing and I would buy the fairing, but not for so much money.
If it was like €500 I would do it without thinking twice.
But now I would rather spend money on 1 extra Diginow.

...
Lane splitting in CT is kind of a humorous proposition. Not a lot of commuters on two wheels here, at least compared to CA.

That's probably the reason.
If lane splitting is allowed motorriders will have a huge advantage in time while commuting.
So more will do it (I believe it will)

Thanks for the info.

Has anyone really done a windscreen mileage test on the Zero's?

I don't really want a windscreen on my FX, but if I actually get miles from it, then I'm interested.

Depends on your driving.
If you go above 100km/h for over 10km: you need 1, not only for comfort but for range!
I used to do ~28kW actual on Zero app at 125km/h without the Zero standard screen; and now ~18kW actual.
So a huge difference (the higher the speed).

Hollywood Electrics already took the time and investment to make a decent frame-mounted fairing for the bigger Zeros (meaning those NOT built on the FX platform).  All Zero would have to do is license them from Harlan and his people and resell them.  Win-win for BOTH companies.

A fairing for me is the bike is completely in 'plastic' (very low wind resistance. Don't think HE offers this or I missed something.

Your legs are still in the open, but easy enough to tuck into the bike and out of the majority of the airflow.  The HE fairing takes care of your upper body where the majority of the wind resistance is created.  Both Electric Terry and Brian T. Rice have posted plenty of photos of Zeros equipped with the HE fairing.  Think "BMW RS" rather than GoldWing:

Yes, the first thing I thought: he, a Yamaha XJ diversion from the 90's! Not bad, but also not worth the extra money it is for me with already a screen.
