I had the same thought when my 2014 display read 0% and the bike stopped immediately.  I was expecting some wiggle-room like my 2012 S, but now I know better.  ???

Honestly, I think I prefer that the meter be as accurate as possible. I'd rather not have the engineer doing my thinking for me, the way ICE vehicles do when you hit "E" and you've still got two gallons in the tank. Now that I know that zero is zero, I'm okay with it. I'd better manage my affairs so I'm home before I hit zero.

What bothered me is that the display was still showing me 1% SoC when it cut power completely. If it's shutting things down, it seems like by definition that's 0%.
