FX FXS with removable batteries
« on: July 28, 2018, 06:16:42 AM »

Just a quick tip for those running their bikes on one pack. When reinstalling the second pack don’t forget to remove the “dummy” plug! I forgot to do this and was scratching my head wondering why the pack wouldn’t go in all the way! Don’t be like me!

Also, when removing the second battery don't forget to install the dummy plug, as the bike will not run without it.

This is documented on the unofficial wiki but is not as easy to find as I would like:
https://zeromanual.com/index.php/Unofficial_Service_Manual#BMS_Blanking_Plug
and
https://zeromanual.com/index.php/Unofficial_Service_Manual#Loopback

It also applies to S and DS models regarding the Power Tank.

The plug is located under the seat, however it is easier to get to if you remove the rear battery. It is velcroed up in there.
