Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Zero or Dealer for Service?
« on: July 16, 2014, 09:50:50 AM »
Want to chime in here just because I know a lot of this has to do with the dealer. I have a 2013 ds my dealer has done a motor swap, kickstand switch, and a few other things and from what it seems like is Zero is willing to do pretty much anything to make you happy. The dealer had to buy a new motor send the old one back and then get reimbursed so I'm sure for some things some dealers don't want to shell out $ to just have to wait to get payed back. My dealer here in Utah has done everything they could to make me as happy as possible and zero has taken very good care of me directly. Went 3 weeks without a bike and zero was very willing to do what they could to make it up to me. Think you just have to get a hold of the right people. There still aren't a lot of people working there as they are still such a young company (to mass sales since 2013 model came out) they try pretty hard to keep up with the work load.

Picked up a champion 4000w max 3500 running watt generator for my camping trip this weekend. Charged the bike from about 60% to full and it ran awesome think I could run 2 bikes no problem. Thanks for the input. ended up buying it new in box from someone who had it chilling in their garage for a while for 290$. Thanks again

So I've been going over all the threads I can find and I am not seeing anything about running a ds on a modified sine wave generator that I can see so far I've been looking at a predator 4000 watt generator from harbor freight. Or a champion 3200 watt from Amazon. Just curious what all of you smart folks have to say about the matter. I'm supposed to go camping this weekend and I've got close to a 300$ budget for some sort of Power device to charge the bike. But I also don't want to damage anything as well. Also I have a chance to buy a Honeywell 2000w generator/inverter that should have a much cleaner sine wave for about the same price but reviews aren't great. Any help would be great

Anyone have any good recommendations on a tube that can withstand a lot I've been looking into the Michelin uhd tubes but worried about how that would make the ride feel. Both times picked up a nail this time it was not in very far thought it might not have hit the tube but apparently I was wrong and am currently waiting for a ride. Took it off road for about 20ish miles both times I've been super lucky to get a flat tire. Any input would be great

Yeah plugged in properly even took It to the dealership. They couldn't figure it out either. No power monitor tool. Led says amber on constantly for the good as Power but the partial battery light flashes slowly and nothing else

I've been looking into those rox risers for my 13 Zero ds glad I found this thread. Mind me asking a stupid question. My dealer can't seem to tell me. What is the lower part of the bar size for ordering rox risers?

Lol this cracks me up I've got a 13 ds and had a few problems and I also have a sv1000s  I loved that bike so so much until I got my zero. Now I ride it and it's so much noise and the clutch does make computing not as much fun. Gotta love the Suzuki v twin tho.

Sorry just realized I said volts instead of watts.

Just got my new delta q charger from zero today I plugged regular charger then plugged in under the tail and then plugged in delta q. I am not seeing any sign of faster charging even on the app it's still 11 amps and 1100ish volts. They sent some paper work that says programing instructions. And another paper that has troubleshooting and maintenance info. Do I need to program this out of the box? I was under the impression that it was programed already for the 13/14 bikes am I wrong?
