Energica's two-year warranty extension offer is only valid until May 31st. Cost are 1095 € plus VAT.
Battery must still be within the original 3 years warranty.

I believe there's now an extended warranty to 5 years for Energicas as well which puts it on a par with Zero. I admit that was actually a critical factor in thinking "no" when I had the opportunity a couple of years ago before they had the 5 year warranty.

btw my experience with Zero and batteries has been good - exhibited magic charging after 2 years, took it to dealer, pulled the logs, agreed, battery replaced within 3 months no questions asked. And the new battery is excellent - I easily get 125 miles out of it.

You are right, Energica offers a two year warranty extension but just until May 31st.

Zero took 3 MONTHS to supply a battery? Sorry, but in my view that is totally inacceptable.

That Facebook post is pretty interesting, the charge curve looks identical to my experience.   I can't help but feel that Zero have put a fixed charge profile into the Firmware - hopefully in an abundance of caution but if the BCB packs are "better" (presumably) than HCM then why on earth are they risking revolt from Charge Tank owners?!?   ???

Pete - I had my Cellular module stop working, the dealer replaced it under warranty, which took several attempts as they didn't know what they were doing, apparently had to be coded to bike and coordinated with Zero.  When it was replaced it worked for 1 day, then stopped again.   I took it out myself, took the SIM out and cleaned the contacts, put it back together and voila!  It started working again.  Have you tried disconnecting it and taking the SIM out for a clean?

Owning a Ribelle for 22 months now with 43,000 km on the clock you can tell that I like it a lot.

Personally, I don't find the seating position so cramped, but that is of course depending on your body dimensions and your personal preferences. I never sat on the EsseEsse, there was no need bc I felt immediately good on the Ribelle.
About technical issues with the bike I can only say that I had only one major one which was solved by the excellent service person of the dealer within two days (he drove 160 km one way to dignose & then reinstall the FW). Before he did that, he contacted Energica and discussed with them what to do. So, I have no reason to distrust neither my dealer nor Energica.
[BTW totally different to Zero who knowingly fed my dealer and me false information about supply of a new battery bc the one in my SR/F was f**d up. In the end I gave the bike back under lemon law. So, yeah, if you want to buy a Zero I would try to talk you out of it.]
I am not a battery expert, but just looking at the numbers (21.5 kWh nameplate, real capacity approx. 18 kWh) I can tell there is a good safety margin included. In addition the software prohibits stressing the battery at the SOC high and low level by restricting charging input or power output. All that is pointing to a long life of the battery despite driving it hard.

also check on the cost of registration and insurance,  and i hope you have a dealer close  mt 2022 esse esse 9 required more trips back to the energica service
 center than all other new vehicles that i have owned combined.

Maybe I’m just too soft, but the ribelle was just too wristy and cramped feeling for me. That is likely because I’m only allowed one bike, so it has to be ergonomically correct for every day use. The head down position also doesn’t make for the best traffic awareness.

You also have really want electric, the aprillia turbo/ducati monster with similar performance are less than half the price.

Just had mine done this morning, then ran some errands on the way back, so a few key cycles.

No new issues with my Experia, reverse works fine.  Only new thing I noticed is the menu on the main screen seems to go from the only "settings/preferences/diagnostics" to "settings/handgrips" choices, not sure if its speed related or what causes it to change.  Obviously handgrips menu is new.  I haven't charged it yet to see how much "EXTIMATED" time it will take...  ::)
I have no "new" issues since V43, just that it fixed none of my old issues. Still has lots of bugs.


I have only ridden my Experica a few times since the update, but it was enough to see all the old bugs.


IIRC, the "heated grips" selection goes away at stops or very low speeds.  I assume that is intended.

I picked up my Experia yesterday and rode it back to Reno from Auburn, CA the same day.


If version 43 is supposed to fix any of my bugs, it didn't in my Experia.


In the 99-mile ride back, I still experienced several bugs I had in the past.


First bug yesterday with V 43:


I use reverse to get out of my garage. Goes a few feet and then motor dies with the same old "undefined faut-contact service".

2nd Bug:
Then I reboot, start to head to Reno. I get the "FOB out of range" message in less than a half mile.


Again around 20 miles up the freeway.


The I take a break at the Truckee, CA airport as I get a free charge.


I stop the AC charge after I gain 10% SOC (nice long break).


I use reverse again. Same problem "undefined fault". Then need to turn the bike off and on again. Next time reverse okay, no fault.

3rd bug:
Now back on the freeway. About two miles up it, my screen says that "The charging cable may now be removed".


If version 43 is supposed to fix any bugs, it didn't on my Experia.


I have not yet tried a fast charger since v 43, but perhaps that will be the only thing it does better.


But so far, I am disappointed with version 43 as it fixed none of my bugs.


Is V43 only supposed to improve charging? Has no bug fixes?
