I don't have a Delta Quik, but if you're interested I do have a couple of Eltec Flatpacks, decent wires,  Andersen connector, etc. to make your own charger. I intended to do this for my FXS before it was written off. Obviously, I'm in the UK or I wouldn't have mentioned it.

Same experience on my 2020 SR/F. I suspect the reason it's listed as in beta and is free is because it's, well... unfinished.

If it's any use to you, I've got a couple of Eltek Flatpacks (plus cable, Anderson connector, etc.) that I was intending to use as a fast charger for my Zero FXS. It's the parts for a DIY solution that you'll need to finish. If you think this might be useful, I'll dig out the details and get some photos.

I rarely use the navigation, but find it's useless. Frequently turns on and off. Randomly gives directions from 10 minutes ago. Useless. It's still in beta and I didn't pay for it, otherwise I'd definitely be asking for a refund!

twist the wires together... or separate them, whichever is needed.  there ...emergency fix completed.
Whilst this is often a good solution, I thought (but could be wrong) that this won't work on the FX/FXS/FXE and could damage it. As far as I remember, it's a hall effect sensor and needs a magnet fixed near it instead.

Indiegogo is where you go when your project is too dodgy even for Kickstarter.

I suspect NEW2elec has already put a deposit down.

The "hate" wasn't becuase they were trying to build an impressive bike. It was because they were clearly lying and trying to con people. Compare them to Verge for instance. I've still not seen a production Verge bike but they at least seem to be getting on with building some bikes rather than concentrating on the smoke and mirrors to get hold of as much money as they can which - it must now seem obvious even to you NEW2elec - is going to vanish.

I'm looking forward to watching that maybe more than the MotoGP. I watch the highlights on ITV4 in the UK and I suspect they might not show MotoE.

Damon was just a bump in the road.

it just looks like maybe the world isn't ready for mass electric motorcycles yet
What? The world already has mass market electric motorcycles. Zero and Energica are doing a great job. It's just Damon that were an obvious failure/scam right from the start. Everyone but you could see that.

It's not all about numers. They're important, but they're not everything. I personally didn't like the handling of the Enrgica I tried, but I'll definitely be front of the queue to test ride whatever rode bike comes from Ducati's V21L.

Anyone who still can't see all Damon red flags has their eyes closed.

« on: February 01, 2023, 03:39:12 PM »
If things work they way they should then the original firmware should be OK and updates should just be to fix bugs that occur so rarely that they weren't noticed before lots of bikes were being used by lots of customers in different ways. I'm not saying that's the case with Zero, but it is possible that firmware updates are sensible to do but you wouldn't notice them.

I think this is disabled if you don't have cellular connection working. I'm not 100% sure on this as I had the cellular connection fixed by my dealer at the same time I had the dash firmware upgraded.
