Out of curiosity how did you crack the frame?

Aaron

I had a minor crash about 2 years ago. The front of the motorcycle hit someone while they were coming out of their driveway. I saw a crack on the frame 6 months ago. A friend tried to weld it, but I think it made it weaker, leading to more cracks. Now I can't ride it anymore. Welded or not, it was bound to happen. I'm just glad I didn't get hurt.

Have you considered the absolute bottom basic minimums of any sale thread where anyone considers selling anything anywhere and they do the mere basic things like listing a price and a location?

If not, your sale might be fraught with difficulty.

I'm actually looking for offers on any parts of the motorcycle. Thanks for the advice. I've updated the post.

Hi all,

My motorcycle frame cracked. I'm selling my parts.

Location: San Francisco, California

Battery ($5000 shipped. I can go lower if picked up) -  My bike has a 14.4kW battery that was replaced under warranty. It has about 10k miles on it.
Motorcycle tire with rims (send offer) -  Replaced recently (few months ago). Maybe less than 2k miles on them
Any other parts on the motorcycle (Send offer)

After riding it around the block today, the red error triangle and the green light kept flashing back and forth (see video). I'm now suspecting that it's the kickstand sensor that's faulty.

Could it be anything else?

Now, after a few days, it seems to be functioning properly, turning on and off without any issues.

It appears that this issue occurs only after I have left it charging for a few hours.

After letting the motorcycle sit a couple days, I was able to turn it on and off again without any problems. I rode it about 4 times until it hit 20%.

I thought charging it to 100% was causing the issue, but I charged it up to 80% this morning. Once I took off the charging cable. I received the flashing triangle light again.

This time, I configured the dash to show the error codes.

I'm getting these errors according to https://zeromanual.com/wiki/Gen2/Error_Codes
25 - Contactor Open Warning. This may be appropriate given what safety interlocks are in play.
45 - Kickstand Switch Disable. The kickstand switch safeguard is active
48 - SEVCON Startup Disable. The Sevcon controller startup failed and the resulting safeguard is active.
49 - Contactor Open Disable. Check other error codes and reset by keying the bike off and on.
Check logs later.

My question is, if something is faulty with the kickstand sensor, shouldn't my motorcycle work intermittently? It seems to stop working AFTER i charge the motorcycle for hours.

Hi there
Please help me find a kickstand sensor... My sensor is giving me hell and leaving me stranded miles away from home. Zero DS FZ MY14 2014. +258824001920 WhatsApp

Can't find it with any dealer

I'm having the same issue and I just ordered one through my local motorcycle shop. They don't show the part number in the parts manual, so they had to contact Zero Motorcycles and find out the part number.

This is the part number in my invoice. It seems like you can order it online

Do you know how I can bypass it?

I tried using a magnet.

Hi all,

A couple of weeks ago. I charged up my 2014 zero sr to 100% and it wouldn't work. The error light was flashing. After being stuck down the block of my house and turning the motorcycle on and off multiple times for 5-10 minutes, it started fine and I was able to ride off.

I haven't charged it up to 100% since last night. Now the bike doesn't work. The lights are on when the key is in the on position, but the error triangle light is flashing. I tried turning it off and on multiple times and leaving the lights on for a couple hours so the battery can drain a bit, but it's not working at all this time.

Has anyone encountered this issue before?
