Title: '17 FX and FXS battery area more weatherproof?
Post by: Say10 15FX 16FXS on March 10, 2017, 12:46:02 AM
I noticed that the 2017 models seem to have additional rubber "diapers" on each side of the packs. The sides appear to have some different shielding too. Never had a problem with mine but don't often ride in the rain either. Looks able to be retrofitted for those of you who do! Continued improvement on an already awesome product.

The '17 models have non-removable batteries - unless you want removable as an optional. This might just fit the non-removable ones.

That makes sense, didn't realize it was an option! I went to the Progressive bike show last month but they only had '16s on show! I was trying to get a closer look at the new belt.

Looks like that is only on the non-modular one. I have the 2017 FX modular and it does not have that cover. Looks like they updated some of the studio pics to show the non modular 6.5 which includes the cover on the website.
