I found this sweet place with some real nice curves in the road.  Since I'm in Florida, curves are hard to come by.  It was so far from home, that I only went around it 1 1/2 times before I hit 50% on the battery and turned around for the ride home.  4 miles from home, I was at 12%, but speed cut down to 27 mph.  I was about a full mile from home with 9% when it went straight to 0% and simply stopped.  I pushed it the rest of the way home.   :(

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Electric wheelies

I know the FXS can wheelie, but has anyone been able to do it on their SR yet?  I have been too nervous to try because I didn't want to crash, but I've been thinking about it a lot for some stupid reason.  I don't even try to do it on the R1, but I can't stop thinking about it- and I'm sort of a risk taker even though I'm getting old.

So here's how I imagine it, right before the crash, lol...

Turn off ABS, get up to around 20 or 25, hold throttle steady and put left foot on passenger peg.  With the right foot, I hold the brake and pin the throttle, then let off the brake and yank the handle bars, putting my weight on the left foot.  Then I crash, hahaha!

We don't go out on the main roads.  Taz loves it and will hop in.

Sorry, I'm not a huge Harley fan so I don't know what type of Harley this is, maybe a Road King?  I'm thinking he probably had a S&S motor.  It was all over for him after first gear.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2012 and older / 2015 Zero SR won't charge
« on: July 09, 2015, 09:06:27 PM »
Hi everyone.  At the end of April, I purchased a 2015 Zero SR.  It was great for the first 750 miles.  One day, the curcuit breaker tripped in my garage and the bike stopped charging.  I flipped the breaker and it started charging for a few minutes, then tripped the breaker again.  After that, it completely stopped charging, no matter where I tried to plug it in.  So back to the dealership it went...for 2 1/2 weeks!!!

I got it home last night, rode it around for about 30 miles, then went home, plugged it in and saw it was charging.  This morning, I checked on it.  97%, that was strange.  I unplugged it, turned it on, and battery life went up to 100%.  Strange again, but no big deal.  So I rode for another 30 miles, went home, plugged it in, and guess what?  Nothing!  Now I've got to take it back to the dealership again (60 miles round trip).  I love the performance of the bike but am quickly becoming sorry I bought it.

Has anyone else had similar problems?
