Title: Luggage on FX
Post by: andrews on November 20, 2016, 09:45:00 AM
Hi All
First post [emoji3]
About to pull the trigger on a 2017 FX. Excited!
I see that Zero do a Givi rack/plate/box for the FX but have failed to find any photos of such a setup. Anybody using it? Otherwise, what are the luggage options? My primary use will be commuting but I don't need to fit a helmet. Any soft options work well on the FX?
Thanks

Moskomoto.com. Reckless 40 or 80?

I have the backcountry 35s on my DSR

New2elec: Thanks for the link. It may work for commuting but it really look out of place on the bike.
ElecZen: I like the Moskomoto panniers but Zero does not make a pannier rack for the FX. Anybody know of an aftermarket rack?

I bought these off Amazon and they really work nice with tie downs to the frame supports.  Rode with them this past summer on my R1200GS through all weather and they still look like new.

i just found a small tank bag and modified the straps to work on the FXS. i don't need to carry much and this has plenty of room. it is a first gear mini if i remember right.

laters,

Doesn't require a rack!  Or the smaller Reckless 40L same design just different sizes.  vOv worth a look I thought.

I have the factory rack on my 2015 FX and a 26 L Shad top case on it. Works fine for me. I did have to drill new holes in the rack to fit the Shad adapter plate for the 26 L top case. Other size plates may fit since they are bigger. I have a Shad 40 L on my Burgman scooter and it's plate is bigger, but I didn't try it on the FX rack to see if the holes lined up.
