In an effort to get it right the 1st time, I'm humbly putting my lack of electric knowledge out there. Yes, I have Harley Davidson product background, lol. Step One: A little guidance w/ ABC's here...

Please see below vid of me attempting an outlet voltage test. The last time I stuck anything in an outlet, other than a standard plug, was to short the lights in my 8th grade chemistry class w/ a bubble gum wrapper (Only sent sparks flying.)

1st there will be a little bit of fluctuation in the line. 119.6 - 120.0 V is about a 0.3% variation.

2nd multimeter probes don't make great contact with 120V socket holes. IMO.

At about 0:40 you had pretty decent contact with the socket. Before then I think the contact was intermittent.

Thanks P, so this outlet checks out?
I get the bit about variation, was mostly worried about the rapid fluctuation...
And maybe the probes don't contact well enough to prove grounds..?
