Title: Throttle housing question 13 FX
Post by: zero4al on December 14, 2016, 08:53:40 AM
Hey guys I was checking out my bike tonight and something about the throttle was bothering me (bike was parked in garage)
I don't remember the throttle being this way but when I twist it slowly, it feels a little notchy or like slightly gritty when I twist it. Not bad and maybe it was always like that but is your throttle totally smooth when you pull it back?

And then I tried to open up the housing to peak inside and it wasn't totally straight forward, I couldn't get it apart? Is there a tab on top that is involved in the process?

Thanks guys

Thank you shadow. I may be experiencing the misaligned pinion. Does throttle need to be unassembled to adjust that black screw on the bottom in an attempt to fix this. It does feel like a spring or something is rubbing or clicking a little bit.
