Buy Sell Trade / FS: 2011 Zero X
« on: August 06, 2013, 05:11:18 AM »
I am selling my 2011 Zero X.

The bike is in very good condition and has pretty low miles. It was new last Thanksgiving and stored in a climate controlled garage last winter.
The battery has about 30 cycles and lasts for about 20 mins of riding at higher speeds (35-50mph) on dirt roads or an hour of riding around the yard.
It's missing a decal on the left side and has a few light scratches from off road riding so its not show room clean but it has not had much use.

It comes with a stand and the charger.
Asking $3500.

Its currently located in Southern VT but I can deliver it throughout most of New England and greater NYC area.
I am also happy to disassemble and crate for shipping.

General Discussion / Re: Quantya or Zero X
« on: May 18, 2009, 10:48:38 AM »
I like the Quantya better because it seems like more of a finished product.  It looks and rides like a production vehicle while the Zero looks like a school project still.  The Quantya has a very smooth and well balanced ride with no lurching during acceleration.  Right from a complete stop it smoothly pulls.  Many of the components are better quality or larger (brakes, wheels, and fork are the most noticeable) than the Zero.  The riding position is also different.  The Quantya is tall like a modern MX bike and has similar ergonomics.

This is the best looking electric pedal-bike I have seen yet.

Price is a bit steep I think.  Does it seem fair to you guys?

Welcome to the forum Eric.

Its exciting to see the dealer network grow and the brand spread.

I know there is a lot of tuning you can do to this bike.  Ill ask one of the guys about it this weekend.

This is such a sexy machine.  I love that it looks so different than the gas bikes.  The form looks purposeful rather than a retrofit.

General Discussion / Re: Is Today's EV Range Enough?
« on: December 05, 2008, 04:59:50 AM »
The range is useful enough for most of my riding.

My commuting and around town riding is easily accomplished in 40 miles.  Most woods rides I do are only a few hours which is also doable.

The issue is the few longer rides that wouldnt be doable.  I would need a battery stashed at a mid point or to stop for an extended break, both things that might not be easy depending on circumstance.

I will buy an electric when I have the funds, but wont consider it a truly mature product until the range or charging speed is addressed.

That is very nice -- quite a bit faster than my old minibike.

Do you have any more pictures?

This is the cleanest conversion I have seen.  Looks really good.

Quantya Forum / Re: Shredelectric Sets Up Quantya Dealership in New England

The biggest problem with having a shop in VT is also a huge asset.  Its takes a long time to get there.

Because of this, its not overrun with people and is still beautiful but its a drive.  A worthwhile drive, but a drive.

I met him at a motorcycle show in Boston and went up to check out his shop in Vermont a week later.

He is a really nice guy and very excited about electric vehicles.  His shop is in a really beautiful part of Vermont with plenty of riding around.

The folks on Advrider love large bikes.  I can see this being too small and too short a range for their tastes.

There is a thread about the KTM on ThumperTalk thats full of people who dont sound too happy about change.

In that thread though, theres a dude who posted pictures of a Quantya spinning doughnuts on the roof of his building in Brooklyn.

The ruckus gets knocked off right and left  Its silly how many fakes there are.

I wouldn't trade mine for an electric version -- I get 100 mpg.
