Title: DC Area Dealers - Recommendations?
Post by: domingo3 on May 24, 2018, 01:42:16 AM
I'm moving to Maryland and looking for a dealer to do a motor replacement under warranty.  Cyclemax is the closest to me, but I know they are a newer dealer for Zero. I'm willing to drive somewhere if there's another dealer that's highly recommended.

Recommend staying away from Chesapeake Cycles. They failed to support my Zero on numerous occasions. This was over 2 years ago, so things may have changed since then.

Thanks for the feedback.  Have you used anyone else?

Little known fact. Cyclemax might be a "new" dealer but they are the #1 dealer on the east coast ... they have sold so much that the owner got a visit from zero asking how he sold so many zeros.

Go talk to Don at Cyclemax ... they know how to commission a motor (aka replace it) :D

Cyclemax in Gaithersburg, MD? Hearing about Steven Day's experience there gives me pause. Burton, have you had good experience with their service of Zeros?

The only other Zero dealer I know of (locally speaking) is Powersports East in Bear PA. I have visited them and spoke to a couple of the sales people there about Zeros. They seemed nice and knowledgeable but I have not purchased anything from them so I can not comment on how well they support and service Zeros. Plus, they maybe bit out of your range. Since I live north of Baltimore, it's not too far from me.
