Title: FX front turn signals - asymmetric?
Post by: kphonik on May 12, 2015, 04:05:16 AM
Having a blast w my 2015 FX. While poking around I noticed the front indicators are mounted asymmetrical with both sides off center on every angle.

Just wondering if this is the norm and if so - why? Seems they would swing clear in identical opposing locations - plenty of clearance for the full steering lock on both sides. So why the offsets?

Cheers!

They look a lot different from this?

@rayivers -

They're mounted very different from that pic. I've not seen that perspective before - thanks for digging it up! I'll snap a pic from above to post at lunch - I suspect now that the mounting plate may be upside down.

Unfortunately from my quick exploration it looks like I have to tear down the whole upper front end to get at the signal mounts. So that'll have to be addressed when I have some downtime!
