I love this bike.
   I don't know why more people arn't converting LF200iii to electric. They are cheap good looking bikes, that have more horse power with a 16hp electric motor.

Good point. You could probably put the engine and other parts on eBay and recoup some cash.

okay, if I go this route, E-tek R or RT,   with the R I can have less battery weight, or use larger batteries, but will the R provide decent acceleration?

well that style bike is gone, and while they do have another similar they do not have rolling chasis, they only have complete bikes which would run around 2000 delivered.  If I am going to spend that kind of cash on the donor bike I am going to revert to my original idea of a dirt bike or a trials bike if I can find a inexpensive donor.  The whole project would be less expensive as I would not need as large capacity batteries, since I do not need the bike to go much over 25mph.
