Title: Startled the parking lot attendant
Post by: JaimeC on April 01, 2019, 06:07:44 AM
I was leaving a parking garage last night.  Pulled up to the attendant to pay my ticket.  She didn't look up until I opened my helmet and said:  "Excuse me?"

She jumped about a foot.  Guess she never heard me approaching!  Gave me a good chuckle for my ride home. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, that happened to me with a shipyard security guard. They just about jumped out of their skin, and asked where I came from.

I was entering to visit a fabrication shop onsite and wanted to know how to safely get there (shipyards often have cranes and areas where hardhats, etc. are required - thankfully there was an easy route to the shop's trailer office).

A 500 lb mass of metal and meat, alien robot materializes silently 4 feet in front of them and then starts squawking at them. Yeah, I can see where they might twitch a little. :)

Had a girl at the drive through ask if I walked my bike up and I had to laugh.

Last week the employee in a drive thru was smoking weed with his friend in the car in front of me and freaked out when I came by the window.
