Zero cheap top box
« on: August 05, 2016, 08:46:58 AM »

I took an idea posted on ADVRIDER for a cheap top case option.  Home Depot sells Rigid brand toolboxes.  I used the Zero rack and bolted on the smaller 22 inch wide case, which will stay on the bike.  it's great for holding a few odds and ends and a folder of documents or my lunch for the day.  For grocery getting or other errands, the larger top case can securely attach.  I haven't worked on a solution to lock the larger case, so I just take it into the store with me.  That helps me make sure I'm not buying too much stuff to carry with it.  Total cost:
FX rack $100
small tool box $29
large tool box $39
nuts, bolts, washers ~$5
