Have They Delivered A Damon to Any Customers?
« on: January 31, 2022, 12:32:07 PM »

As one of the folks on the waiting list, I am just wondering if Damon has delivered any bikes to consumers? My bike is due in 2023. Anybody out there get theirs or heard theirs is coming soon?

No. No they don't even appear to have a rolling prototype.

Hi, first if you haven't already, I'd urge you to join the Damon Lab.  There is a link on their website.
We here at the EMF are lucky enough to have a member who has a reservation for one of the 26 Founder's Edition bikes.
The time frame for his bike being delivered is late 2022.
They have stated that those 26 bikes likely will be made at the HQ while the rest will wait until the main factory is finished.

I ordered/put a deposit down on mine in late 2020 and at that time I was given a 2022 date.

The test ride events should be in full swing by summer if not spring so be sure to sign up for that too.

Here are a couple short clips showing that in fact they've had "rolling prototypes" for some time.

This was originally on Damon's IG page now on the Youtube Channel Fastbikeclub

And from the Youtube Channel Six Gear

Also the CEO was in Atlanta last week.  I hate that I missed him.  I have SO much I'd like to talk to him about.

That apologetic wall of text also means, "no".

I have a strong suspicion that no customers will ever see a bike - or their deposit. I'm sure the Damon marketing department will disagree.

They're too busy stealing Ducati's videos.

CagivaRider, as you can see we have some jealous Energica boys on here who hope Damon's don't hit the road.

It gets hard but try to ignore them.

With Canada's boarders finally reopened after covid lock down things will be moving forward at a faster pace.

Which model are you getting?  Will you stick with the Hypersport line or go with the Hyperfighter line?

I still plan on the Hypersport SX. I am in the Damon Lab also. I posted the same question on there and will let you know what I hear.

Maybe E-Ducatis are Damons with Ducati plastic.

Nah. Did you read the article? Jay had to pretend to be shocked "OH GOLLY GEE I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED THAT OUR FOOTAGE WAS LITERALLY STOLEN DUCATI FOOTAGE"

edit- have you run any of the numbers to see how what they're claiming is more or less a pipe dream? I can do that for you if you'd like.

edit 2- Wait. Your running theory is that Ducati's video titled OCTANE SYMPHONY which features their V4 Panigale gasoline motorcycle (available for purchase today) is actually an electric motorcycle with a fake exhaust made by a Canadian startup company with no track record? Just to clarify. Is that what you're saying?

I'm not sure what exactly labels me as an Energica fanboy. I test rode one recently and didn't particularly like it. You, on the other hand... The huge amount of desperate posts on here currently have me leaning more towards shill than sucker, although people can get funny trying to reassume themselves that they haven't lost $1000.

If I was tempted to put money down on a non-existent motorcycle I'd at least go for a Verge. It looks like they acually have a working prototype that isn't either a Ducati or filmed from so far away it might have a Zero motor in it.

I'm not sure why people are holding out for this Damon thing when you can buy a Zero, Energica, or Livewire, today. And have dealer and manufacturer support*

Cas :)

Fred old boy try not being a troll.
You have your little rage avatar as a fair warning of what you're all about but try to be better.

Just the fact that you think everyone has put down a grand for a deposit shows you have no idea how this works.
It's all right there on the website.
I've  seen you post your negative view on YT.  Why?
Do you really think you know how a new company is run just because you're you?
If you don't want the bike and you're so sure of your own opinion,  you don't even want to take a free test ride then don't post in this section.

Enjoy your SRF.

LOL
That's what I told them!

But the Ducatis are part of the VW group so they're on their own.
Wouldn't it be poetic justice if those were the bikes that put Energica out of business?
I mean there is a reason they sold most of the company to Shane O Mac.  Right? Time will tell.

Still laughing, sorry.
See you in the lab.

This seems to make the assumption those putting a deposit do not already have a useable similar thing.

I would like to have the original poster of this thread answer.  I believe range is the #1 reason for the Newtoelectric member.

They all must understand paid in full before shipped,  size of deposit could increase over time like Sondros.

I'm not sure why people are holding out for this Damon thing when you can buy a Zero, Energica, or Livewire, today. And have dealer and manufacturer support*

Edit:. Perhaps the logic is here is my deposit and my personal info now have demo day nearby.
